Christmas Has Begun

Image
The beauty of getting almost all of our Christmas chores out of the way early (by Thanksgiving weekend) means we have far more time to enjoy the Christmas season. And, we are definitely  enjoying a prolonged Christmas! Gifts, one by one, little by little, appear under the tree each day... most of these gifts are for Christmas morning but some of them are to be unwrapped in the days and weeks leading up to Christmas morning...

Decorating for Christmas Already

Today was sunny and near 70 degrees so we took advantage of the beautiful, unseasonable weather to get our outdoor Christmas decorating out of the way. Sheila comfortable on the couch while I sat at my desk beside the couch. My desk overlooks the lake and I noticed something floating in the water directly out in front of our house but halfway across the lake. This is a good distance and it is very unusual to see debris in the lake so it caught my eye immediately. I pointed and asked Sheila, "what is that in the water?" At first, I thought it was just a big log floating wit
