Trying to Get Back into Swing of Things
I really haven't written much nor done much in the past three months or so but I'm hoping to get back into the swing of things now.
Sheila and I had COVID through December and into January and that always takes a lot out of me mostly due to my primary health issues. Before I even had a chance to recover from COVID, Sheila and I picked up flu-A which, for me, lasted until about two weeks ago. Sheila felt miserable for only a week or two. I've had great difficulty getting past these two back-to-back viruses though but I'm now feeling as though I can get back into having some fairly productive days... as much as my other health issues will allow anyway.
Over the past couple of weeks, I've spent my few waking hours each day exercising in an attempt to build up my strength and stamina. I also gained about 12 lbs during this extended period of riding the couch every single day and I definitely want to lose this weight and more in the coming months. This weight gain and extended period of inactivity has really screwed up my lipid bloodwork significantly too which is really frustrating. Exercise and weight loss should help remedy that. I just need about another two months of exercise to see any gains in my bloodwork at this point.
This (photo at left) was my daily view for three solid months. Since I mostly resided on the couch with a box of tissues throughout this long, boring period of feeling miserable, I only did those things that I absolutely needed to do. Now, I have quite a few photos to share... some belated Christmas photos of the grandkids opening gifts... some figure skating photos to share... some ballet photos to share... some hockey photos to share... as well as some miscellaneous photos to share. In fact, I never did finish sharing photos from our Amtrak trip to Ohio with Lukey and Kenzie in tow. Hopefully, I'll get to all of these photos in the coming days.
As I said, I have fallen way behind with this blog but I'm now hoping to start updating almost daily again now that I'm consistently feeling more like myself again.
