A Rare Productive Morning
I've been sick with COVID since mid-July and I'm still struggling with this virus.
I felt better than I have in a couple of months yesterday morning so I finally stepped outside to do some landscaping. I haven't done this at all in the past month so this was a good sign that maybe this virus is behind me. Actually, I haven't done anything outside at all in the past month so the yard was definitely in need of some attention.
My plan was to start with the edge trimming with the weed-whacker and then see how I feel. I got side-tracked and did some pruning and trimming of some plants but I finished all the edge trimming in less than an hour. I was still feeling well so I decided to pull out the lawnmower. My original plan was to do the edge trimming on one day and then do the mowing on another to better manage my energy and avoid overdoing it but I was still feeling well after doing the edge trimming so I decided to mow the lawn too.
I got the lawn done. The lawn mower also mulched all the leaves that were covering the lawn too so the yard is looking much nicer now.
I showered in our outdoor shower and then went inside to do something about lunch. I couldn't keep my eyes open after lunch so I laid down on the couch. I think I slept about three hours which I definitely needed but, once again, I awoke with a slight headache and felt kind of lousy again. As the evening progressed, my headache and sore throat worsened.
COVID has affected me this way every single time... later in the day, all the symptoms and fever come back. A normal temperature for me on our thermometer at home is 97.1 but later in the day when I'm again feeling kind of lousy I'm back up into the 99.something range. Last night was no exception. My breathing gets worse, the headache returns and even the sore throat returns.
On the positive side, I had a productive few hours yesterday morning for a change but struggling with this virus for so long every time is tiring and demoralizing.
