Walk-in-Closet Coming Along

I had a productive Sunday... The weather was beautiful and I was feeling fairly well. As I've mentioned many times before, the weather and my health must cooperate in order to have a productive day. Today, they cooperated so it was a productive day.

The down side is that my spine is in miserable condition after working on this project today. I'm in constant pain... at about a seven on the ten point pain scale while at rest... but spiking to a nine or ten whenever I attempt to walk. The pain is so bad it stops me dead in my tracks and drops me to my knees, doubled over. There is no doubt that my spine is intensely inflamed but I hope I can quickly find a way to diminish this brutal pain. (While I was cleaning up and putting tools away that were scattered across the backyard, I resorted to using one of my long cabinet clamps as a cane because I definitely needed help standing on my own two feet.)

Putting my health aside, I managed to build and install three shelving cabinets for this walk-in-closet. I had previously installed some beadboard paneling into this closet the other day so I've been accomplishing little by little each day.

Next up is to paint and install the ceiling planking... then I need to install facia trim on these shelves... then I will prime the shelving... then it will be time for finish paint on the shelves and the walls... then I can finish up the electrical... and then it will be ready for new flooring to extend into the bedroom.

I have flooring stored in another room which will be used for this closet and the adjoining bedroom. We have a beautiful ebony stained wood floor for this room. I'm really looking forward to covering this subfloor which has been exposed since I've lived here. (I'm looking forward to having a closet too since I've been living out of my bags for years.)

I'm also adding a three-sided window alcove to this bedroom... then some paint to the walls... then the above-mentioned flooring.

This little project is coming along... unfortunately, now I need to get my spinal injuries to cooperate with my health issues as well as the weather in order to complete this project...

One step at a time...

Oh...  I forgot... I also install the closet door the other day too! (It was nice getting that door out of our shed!)
A shot from before I built and installed the shelving cabinets...
