A Surprise Trip To The Christmas Loft

Image
The weather was rather miserable on Saturday this past weekend so we had to change plans.  We had planned to take the grandchildren on a cruise on the Spirit of Ethan Allen but not in this miserable weather we were experiencing on this day. The cruise would have to wait for another day... preferably a beautiful day of sunshine. Instead, we surprised the kids with a last minute change of plans and brought them to The Christmas Loft.  We visited The Christmas Loft with the kids last September and they loved it. Sheila and I knew we wanted to return before this Christmas too and the weather helped us choose to visit again this past Saturday. You can't sneak him past any trains... this particular one is hard to miss though... Kenzie is always drawn to anything pink... This airplane's prop spins and "Merry Christmas" is projected on the prop blades as the prop spins... Little Rodney Dangerfield... More trains

Kenzie and Lukey Arrived at the Lake

Image
Kenzie and Lukey stealthily arrived at the lake house this morning. Sheila and I were doing some food shopping in preparation to their arrival but they arrived at the house before we did... We saw Liza's car in our parking area when we arrived home... we pulled the car up to the back door so we could unload the car... but we found the back door to the house was still locked! Before mommy had to leave for the day to work, we had some lunch. Fortunately, for Kenzie, we had just finished food shopping so we had a full refrigerator of food to choose from... naturally, she chose her usual staple, fresh strawberries... and some Mickey Mouse chips, some cheese, and a small bowl o

A Few Still Images

I shot a few still images before I shot the video that I posted in my previous blog entry... here are a few shots of the kids... You always need a few Air Force aircraft on hand for air defense and force protection...

Child's Biplane at Airport

Image
After we toured Burlington International Airport and spent some time in the tower watching air and ground traffic with the grandchildren, the kids spent a little time playing on a little biplane in one of the airport's waiting areas... Lukey kept making airplane noises which clearly requires his lip actuators to be in this configuation...  Apparently, Kenzie wants to be a wing-walker...  By this time stomachs were growling so we made our way back to the car and headed to 'The Windjammer' for lunch...
